On Wednesday, February 7th 2024, 14-year-old Aubrey horne dunn nc, North Carolina tragically and unexpectedly passed away.

Aubrey was born on July 30th, 2009 in Harnett County. She is survived by her parents David and Alicia Horne, three sisters, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts/uncles including Cari Dickinson, and many other family members.

The SE Top Gun Softball team shared their broken hearts over Aubrey's passing. They said the 14-year-old, who played on the Locked and Loaded travel team, was full of life and love for friends, family and softball. Her death deeply impacts the whole softball community.

Nikki Stout offered sincere condolences and prayers for Aubrey’s family, friends, teammates and coaches during this incredibly difficult time. She asked God to bring them comfort and peace.

On behalf of the Carolina Rage softball organization, Eric Daughtry also expressed deep sorrow and said they will keep Aubrey’s loved ones in their thoughts and prayers.

The posts show Aubrey clearly touched many lives through her passion for softball at just 14 years old. Her shocking, premature death leaves a profound hole for all those who knew her joy and talents on and off the field. May her spirit live on.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Hodges Chapel Church followed by burial in Devotional Gardens cemetery. The family will hold visiting hours on Tuesday evening at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home and Cari Dickinson’s home.

While details are limited, Aubrey's sudden death at just 14 years old is undoubtedly heartbreaking for her family and community. She clearly brought joy to many lives and leaves this world far too soon. May she rest in peace as loved ones grieve this profound tragedy.
