On Sunday evening, a horrible motorcycle accident occurred on East State Highway 1-17 in Momence, Illinois. The crash sadly took the life of 21-year-old Evan T. Wood from Momence.
Around 6:45 pm, Evan T Wood Kankakee County IL was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he somehow crossed over the centerline into oncoming traffic. His motorcycle then crashed head-on into a Ford Focus car.
What happened to Evan T Wood Kankakee County IL?
Two other Harley Davidson motorcycles were also involved in the multi-vehicle accident. Evan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the tragic crash.
The other people involved were hurt as well, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Evan's sudden and untimely death has devastated his community in Momence. Those who knew Evan say he had a bright spirit and was always willing to help others, even strangers.
His family and friends are heartbroken over losing Evan, described as a beautiful soul who brought light to everyone around him. They are grieving this tragic loss of the young man's life.

The Illinois State Police and the Kankakee County Coroner's Office are still investigating all the circumstances that led to the fatal motorcycle wreck. An autopsy is scheduled for March 4th.
