The football club Chasetown is very sad to announce that one of their legends, Ted Highfield Chasetown, has passed away. Ted was a dear friend and huge supporter of the club.

His presence and excitement at every game brightened everyone's day, and his loss has left a big hole in the club's heart. Losing Ted is very painful for the club.

Ted served the club for over 40 years. He used to be the kit manager, but most people knew him as the club's physiotherapist who treated injured players.

The current club captain, Danny O'Callaghan, said it's very sad news. He shared that Ted would always come to wish the team well before games, telling them to "get into them" from the start. Ted loved Chasetown deeply and will be greatly missed around the club.

One former player, Oli Hayward, said Ted was a true Chasetown legend. When Oli broke his leg, Ted calmed him down in the physio room. Oli called Ted an amazing guy.

The club hopes that Ted's passion for Chasetown and his unwavering support will inspire them to carry on his legacy. Their thoughts are with Ted's family and loved ones during this difficult time of grief. Rest in peace, dear friend Ted.

Chasetown FC really was Teds family and it's heartwarming to see how fondly he will be remembered by so many, not just within our club, but within the wider football community.
