Mark Lamothe, aged 64 from Freedom, New Hampshire, died while snowmobiling in the Diamond Ridge area on March 1st.
Mark lamothe Freedom NH was part of a group that had rented snowmobiles that afternoon. Around 1:45 pm, he tipped his snowmobile over while making a slow turn. His friends came to help within seconds but found him unresponsive. Investigators believe he likely suffered a medical emergency at that moment.

Around 1:47 pm, emergency responders received calls that a snowmobiler needed help and was not breathing. Rescuers from the fire department, ambulance service, and conservation officers rushed to the scene. They found Lamothe's companions giving him CPR, but despite over an hour of lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead just before 3 pm.
Originally from Beverly, Massachusetts, Lamothe had moved to Freedom, New Hampshire several years ago with his wife Gail after studying at UMass Amherst, Cornell University, and the Kellogg School of Management.
A friend, David Johnson, paid tribute saying Lamothe was a great boss, mentor, peer, confidant and eventually friend - calling him a "five-tool player." Despite his blunt humor, he was caring and they remained close after Johnson changed jobs. Johnson is heartbroken by this shocking, untimely death of his larger-than-life friend.
